WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Valley College has officially been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a non-profit institution, a change school leaders say will further strengthen its commitment to students and the communities it serves.
For more than 35 years, Valley College has provided career-focused education in healthcare, business, and information technology through its campuses in Ohio and West Virginia, as well as online programs.

Thousands of students have graduated with training aimed at meeting workforce needs and supporting local economies.
With the transition to non-profit status, the school announced that all revenue will now be reinvested into academic programs, technology, student services, and career readiness initiatives.
Leaders emphasized that this ensures student success remains the guiding priority.
According to Valley College, the change underscores several core commitments: putting students first in decision-making, treating education as a public good, reinvesting resources into people rather than profit, and maintaining flexibility to adapt programs to meet evolving workforce demands.
Valley College has long served as a pathway for adults seeking new careers or advancing in their current fields, and officials say this designation will help expand opportunities and impact for years to come.
