BELINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation in Belington, local authorities executed a search warrant in Elkins on the evening of October 11, 2025.
Patrolman T. L. Cooper of the Belington Police Department worked with PFC D. T. Sayre of the Elkins Police Department to carry out the operation at approximately 8:00 p.m. at a private residence.

Officials said one of the individuals at the location is alleged to have been supplying narcotics to residents in the Belington area.
During the search, officers seized more than one-quarter pound of suspected fentanyl, roughly $4,000 in cash, and other items deemed evidentiary. One individual was taken into custody at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Belington Police Department thanked the Elkins Police Department for their assistance and emphasized that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
