SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he intentionally struck another vehicle in Summers County while an active protective order was in place.
According to a criminal complaint, deputies responded to a call on Dec. 16, 2025, in the Wildwood area of Summers County regarding a reported domestic incident involving Dale Nelson, 44, of Beckley.

The caller reported that Nelson had rammed a vehicle with his own.
During the investigation, deputies determined that there was an active domestic violence protective order against Nelson that had been issued on Nov. 20, 2025, in Greenbrier County.
Investigators said the protective order prohibited contact between Nelson and the occupant of the other vehicle.
Authorities allege that Nelson deliberately used his vehicle to strike the other vehicle, causing significant damage. The damage was estimated to exceed $3,000, according to the complaint.
As a result of the investigation, Nelson was charged with domestic battery and destruction of property. He was taken into custody and remains at Southern Regional Jail.
