BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Lillie Lion Roaring Initiative is inviting the community to attend Youth Unity Day on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at New River Park.
The free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. and is aimed at encouraging and empowering youth through mentorship, unity and community involvement.
Organizers said the event will feature live music and entertainment, games and activities, mentorship circles, food and refreshments, and a special appearance by Minister Curtis Adams.
The organization is also seeking teen mentors who are interested in earning community service hours while making a positive impact in the community.
Youth Unity Day is being organized with support from New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, CEF, District 44 candidate Christina Baisden and The Girlfriend Club.
