CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Cabell County authorities are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of a 60-year-old Ona man.
According to the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffrey Morrison lost control of his ATV and struck a tree on River Park Drive near Howell’s Mill Road in Ona. His body was discovered Friday morning in the yard of a vacant house.
Investigators said Morrison was last seen Thursday night and had not returned home, prompting concern about his whereabouts.
Deputies responded to the area after Morrison was found and determined that the crash had been fatal. Authorities have not released additional details about what may have caused him to lose control of the ATV.
The Cabell County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing.
