RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals in connection with a theft investigation at Rural King in Beckley.
According to Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton, the incident occurred on June 1, 2026, at the Rural King store located at Crossroads Mall.
Investigators said the two individuals entered the store and each selected a pair of boots valued at more than $200. Authorities allege the individuals removed the boots they were wearing, put on the new boots, and left the store without paying for the merchandise.
The sheriff’s office believes the individuals may have left the area in the vehicle shown in surveillance images released by investigators.
Anyone who recognizes either individual or has information related to the investigation is asked to contact Deputy J.R. Quesenberry at 304-255-9300. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers of West Virginia by calling 304-255-STOP (7867) or through the organization’s website.
Investigators say any information, no matter how small, could assist with the investigation.
