BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The 9th Annual Beckley Honey Festival will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, located at 513 Ewart Ave.
The event will feature honey tastings, local honey sales, and a honey and bake show. Visitors can also enjoy live hive demonstrations, educational presentations, and children’s activities hosted at the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia.
Live music will be provided by the Long Point String Band.
Vendors and participants scheduled to attend include 163 Creations, Oakvale Farms, Lavender Hill Roost, NicArtistic, Raleigh County Schools, Visit Southern West Virginia, WV Coal Jewelry, WV Woodturners, local artisans, B & C Kettlecorn, Francie’s Sweets, Manna House Ministries, Raleigh County Beekeepers, Exhibition Mine Gift Shop, Coal Camp and Mine Tours, and West Virginia Beekeepers.
The Raleigh County Beekeepers will also offer barbecue and sweet corn, while the Exhibition Mine Gift Shop will have freshly made fudge and West Virginia-made items available for purchase.
