BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help locating a 15-year-old girl who has been reported missing and is considered endangered.
Kasia Lynn Hess, 15, of Philippi, was reported missing at approximately 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21.
According to the sheriff’s department, Hess was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, leaving her residence in Philippi in a white 2018 Nissan Sentra with West Virginia registration 56Z591. The vehicle has damage to the rear passenger side.
Security camera footage from a neighbor reportedly showed the vehicle turning south onto Route 250 toward Belington. Authorities said Hess and the vehicle have not been seen since.
Hess was last seen wearing a gray top and green Chucky pajama pants. She is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 146 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Hess has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
Anyone who sees Hess or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
