FARMINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two women were killed and a juvenile was injured in a head-on crash near Farmington in Marion County Wednesday evening.
The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Helens Run Road.
Authorities said Jessica Frye, 39, was traveling south on Helens Run Road when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Cheyenne Russ, 26, who was traveling north.
Russ died at the scene of the crash.
Frye was transported by HealthNet toward J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown but died during the transport, according to authorities.
A juvenile female passenger who was traveling with Frye was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
