BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley Stratton Middle School is preparing for the upcoming baseball season and will hold tryouts later this month for students interested in joining the Bulldogs.
Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, September 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, September 19, from noon to 2 p.m.
Both tryout sessions will be held at Beckley Babe Ruth Baseball Field.
The baseball program is open to students in fifth through eighth grades. Fifth graders must attend an elementary school that feeds into Beckley Stratton Middle School.
According to the school, the baseball season begins near the end of March and continues through the end of May.
Students interested in trying out but unable to attend either scheduled date are encouraged to contact Coach Steve Moore at 304-920-9904. The same number can be used for additional questions about the program or tryouts.
The Beckley Stratton Bulldogs are encouraging eligible students interested in baseball to come out and get an early start on preparations for the spring season.
