FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 27-year-old Fayette County man is facing charges after authorities say he sent a series of threatening Facebook messages to a man he believed was attempting to become romantically involved with his estranged wife.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Fayette County Magistrate Court, Sgt. M. Sifers of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of threats on Aug. 26.
The complaint alleges Gary L. Andricci had been sending threatening messages for approximately two days. Authorities said the threats stemmed from allegations that the recipient was attempting to become romantically involved with Andricci’s wife. The couple was reportedly separated but not legally divorced at the time.
Investigators reviewed messages allegedly sent from a Facebook account bearing Andricci’s name. According to the complaint, one message warned a family member that she should talk to the intended recipient “before he end up laying up in the er.”
Another message allegedly stated, “f***ing with another man’s wife will get your son hurt bad or shot. So. Fair f***ing warning. Talk to him.”
Deputies also reviewed messages sent to the intended recipient from an account belonging to Andricci’s estranged wife. The recipient told investigators he believed Andricci was actually sending the messages because Andricci still had access to the account.
According to the complaint, those messages included several alleged threats, including “Y’all gonna have to move outta town or sum. But ill figure out way [where you’re at] takes time buddy,” as well as “and when ya get ya face sucked up youll realize. But ill catch you slipping. Just remember that.”
Investigators said they also reviewed messages involving another Facebook account in which a person believed to be Andricci allegedly sought the intended recipient’s location. The complaint states that information including an address, photographs of the home and a description of the vehicle the person drove was provided through the exchange.
Based on the investigation, authorities alleged Andricci conspired with another person to commit misdemeanor battery. The complaint also accuses Andricci of threats over electronic communication.
A magistrate found probable cause and a warrant was issued.
The allegations contained in a criminal complaint are accusations, and Andricci is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
