RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man has been arrested after deputies allegedly discovered suspected methamphetamine and more than 82 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms during an investigation.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were conducting an ongoing investigation in the Daniels area when they discovered approximately two grams of suspected methamphetamine in the possession of Joshua Caleb Scott.
Deputies also reportedly located three individually packaged plastic bags containing suspected psilocybin mushrooms. The substance was collected and weighed, totaling approximately 82.62 grams.
Scott was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance involving psilocybin.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed as investigators continue following leads and gathering information.

Scott is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
