BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley woman is facing multiple charges after police say they discovered fentanyl hidden in her bra during an investigation at Walmart, followed by a confrontation with officers at the police department.
According to a criminal complaint, officers responded to Walmart at 1330 North Eisenhower Drive on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for a report of an unresponsive person.
During the investigation, a police K-9 named Zero alerted officers to the suspected presence of narcotics in a vehicle belonging to Elizabeth Sizemore.
Police say a search of Sizemore revealed a piece of foil containing approximately 0.30 grams of a white powdery substance concealed in her bra.
Sizemore was taken into custody and transported to the Beckley Police Department, where officers weighed and field-tested the substance. The test reportedly came back positive for fentanyl.
While officers were preparing paperwork, Sizemore requested emergency medical assistance because she was feeling unwell.
However, when EMS arrived, police say Sizemore became belligerent and began striking herself in the forehead and banging her head against a brick wall.
Officers restrained Sizemore to prevent her from injuring herself further.
During the struggle, Sizemore allegedly kicked PFC Kinnee with her bare foot.
According to the complaint, EMS assistance was then refused, and officers were unable to fingerprint Sizemore because of her behavior.
Sizemore is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a police officer, and battery on a police officer.
