BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Bluefield Police Department has released a list of 30 individuals who have outstanding bench warrants or arrest warrants issued through Bluefield Municipal Court.
According to the department, the warrants involve individuals with unresolved municipal court matters, including cases involving offenses ranging from traffic violations to more serious crimes.
Police said the warrants may be connected to offenses such as driving under the influence, assault, possession of controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, destruction of property, obstructing an officer and prostitution.
The department emphasized that the list does not represent every outstanding warrant in Bluefield.
Individuals listed are encouraged to report to the Bluefield Police Department to resolve their warrants. Those who turn themselves in may be processed through the jail and given a bond amount. If bond is posted, they may be released with a future court date.
For certain show cause warrants, individuals may be able to have the warrant dismissed by paying their outstanding fines at the police department.
Police warned that individuals who fail to address their warrants could be arrested and held in the city jail until appearing before a judge or posting bond.
