President Joe Biden’s comrades in the media are increasingly frustrated over his lack of being able to move forward with his socialist agenda and his failure to persuade the American people that he is really doing a great job. But instead of focusing on what Biden has been unable to do, perhaps it is time to tout what he has actually achieved. Below are a handful of remarkable accomplishments of Joe Biden in his first year on the job.
1. PLUMMETING POPULARITY: This is one that historians will long marvel. How does a President of the United States go from being the allegedly top popular vote-getter of all time to such dismal polling numbers in his first year in office? Remarkable, isn’t it? This accomplishment by Biden, with assistance from Vice-President Kamala Harris, is perhaps one of the most astounding feats in the political history of the United States. I have previously written a column entirely devoted to this topic, which sets forth the unique facets of Biden’s stunning achievement in this regard, entitled, America is losing its patience with the Biden Administration, lootpress.com, Oct. 17, 2021.
2. SPURRING AN IMMINENT RED WAVE IN THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS: The American public’s discontent with the Biden-Harris administration’s performance, as to just about every aspect of governance, is evident in the polling data. But it doesn’t take a political scientist to predict that the President’s party is doomed to suffer staggering defeats in the upcoming midterm elections later this year, partly as a result of Biden’s bungling on-the-job performance. Resounding defeats of Democratic congressional candidates at the ballot box will lead to a welcome change in the course of the nation. Thank you, Joe Biden!
3. EXPOSING MEDIA BIAS: While the mainstream media’s and entertainment industry’s enduring disdain for Republicans existed long before Donald J. Trump ran for office (e.g., think “Dubya” or “Tricky Dick” or “klutzy former Wolverines football star”), it became even more evident from the moment Trump stepped off the escalator to formerly announce his campaign. While former President Trump gets most of the credit for putting a spotlight on the liberal media’s bias against conservatives, current President Joe Biden has done a fantastic job over the past year exposing the press for what it is: a mouthpiece for the socialist Democrat agenda.
The fawning media, along with the robotic page-turning and hair-flipping performances of the President’s chief spokesperson, Jen Psaki, send a clear message that it really doesn’t matter what you think. The press will not deviate from the White House script, nor will any leftist reporters ask a challenging question. It’s all about pushing the extreme left-wing narrative and attempting to persuade the nation that Joe Biden’s socialist agenda is a good thing. And when the Democrats lose seats in Congress in the midterms, the liberal press certainly won’t blame the Biden-Harris administration for its colossal failures. No, instead it will be Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s and Senator Joe Manchin’s fault for failing to support Joe Biden’s agenda. That’s how this works, see?
4. PROMOTING DONALD J. TRUMP: Before he was President, Donald Trump was a celebrity: and not just any run-of-the-mill, one-hit-wonder type of celebrity. He had a particular kind of star quality that spanned decades; and, with the passage of time, he was able to successfully reinvent himself to appeal to a younger, new fan base. With his foray into politics at the national level, Trump’s iconoclastic aura, private-sector chief-executive personality, and billionaire-celebrity bravado, resulted in an unconventional approach to public governance.
Whether you love or hate Donald Trump, you most certainly have an opinion of him, and probably a strong one at that. A lot of people want Trump to run for President again, and a lot of people prefer to keep him in the past. One thing is clear though: Joe Biden, and Biden’s friends in big tech and the media, are doing their best to keep Donald Trump front and center in the news. Whether it’s the private-sector banning of Donald Trump from social media or the presentment of a presidential speech replete with condemnation directed at the former president while purposely omitting his name, these unprecedented actions simply play into Donald Trump’s hands, fortifying his base, and intriguing youthful voters. If Trump does give it a run in 2024, he can thank Joe Biden for casting him in the role of the mysterious, defiant, social-media-banned candidate.
