BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Area Foundation has announced the return of its Annual Dinner Party event, held to celebrate the City of Beckley at its finest.
The recurring affair will be making its way back to Raleigh County after a two-year hiatus in the wake of shutdowns which affected businesses nationwide.
The Rahall Company Store at New River Park will serve as the venue for the occasion, which will take place Saturday, October 8th, at 6:30pm.
“This is really a celebration for us because we’re in our 37th year,” says Beckley Area Foundation Executive Director Dena Cushman.
Dan Bailey will get the evening started with music from his quartet as guests indulge in appetizers and cocktails.
Several food vendors will be contributing to the event, including Black Knight, who will be responsible for the main course of the evening. Desserts, appetizers, and salads will be provided as well through various vendors.
A featured DJ will provide a soundtrack to bring attendees to the dance floor, and guests will be able to explore the outdoor area of the venue while enjoying music and appetizers.
Attendees will also be able to participate in mini-mine tours at the Exhibition Coal Mine, which will run roughly 10 minutes in length, as well as a silent auction.
The Beckley Area Foundation recently acquired their own independent location, and all proceeds from the event will go toward finalizing that acquisition, conducting renovations, and establishing a parking area.
“Proceeds from this dinner, as well as any money raised from donations and our silent auction, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Carter Family Foundation to help us finish the renovation and complete paying off our line of credit.”
The gala will take place at the Rahall Company Store, which can be found at 513 Ewart Avenue in Beckley, WV 25801.
Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
