Dog escapes open window leading to arrest of man who stole rifle, $150 in change

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man faces charges after unlawfully entering a home and stealing a 22. rifle, along with roughly $150 in change. 

Reports from Officer Bias of the Oak Hill Police Department state that, on the afternoon of Saturday, September 3, 2022, the department responded to a 911 call regarding a burglary which took place at 1:47pm at 94 Rainey Hollow Road. 

The caller, Mr. Alfred W. Nuget informed officer Bias that he had left his home at about 10:00am to go to the bank, and returned at noon. 

Upon arriving home Nuget, he noticed that his dog, along with a black AR style 22. long rifle estimated to be valued at $400, and about $150 in change were missing. 

Nuget stated that the individual responsible had entered through the bedroom window, which had been left open. 

Furthermore, he advised that the individual was likely from the neighborhood, due to the dog’s having followed them. 

Specifically, he stated that he believed Aaron Adamini to be responsible for the burglary. 

Officer Bias then contacted forensic specialist Mason Hines, who was able to obtain four identifiable prints from the window ledge. 

The prints were run and came back as a match for Aaron Adamini, and were subsequently sent to the West Virginia State Police Forensic Laboratory where they were confirmed as a match for Adamini. 

Aaron Michael Adamini was arrested on Monday, October 24, 2022 on charges of Burglary. 

Adamini has been arrested a number of times on similar charges, including in 2020 for Breaking and Entering.
