ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing charges after allegedly becoming irritated about a neighbor’s dog barking.
According to Fayette County Deputies, a fight between Jerry Minter and his neighbor ensued after the neighbor’s dog kept barking and irritated him. Minter allegedly punched the victim in the face and said he was going to get his gun.
The neighbor allegedly followed Minter with a shovel and broke out a window on the side of the house. Minter grabbed the shovel after his neighbor dropped it and chased him with it.
Both men fought, and Minter was punching and kicking the neighbor when deputies arrived.
Minter is charged with assault and prohibited person with a firearm. He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 3,500 dollar bond.
