CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A driver for a Boys and Girls Club is facing child abuse charges after she dropped the child off and then attacked her.
On September 12, 2024, at 6:03 PM, the 11-year-old victim stated to officers that the defendant, Rebecca Lynn Duty, a driver for the Boys and Girls Club, had dropped her off at her residence in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia.
The victim reported that Rebecca Duty then chased her to the enclosed front porch attached to the residence, forced his way into the porch, grabbed the victim by the shoulders, and began shaking her, causing injury.
The defendant’s actions constituted the crime of child abuse despite not being the victim’s guardian.
