BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Stratton Elementary hosted community members and local leadership for a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for Access Health’s newest clinic in the Raleigh County.
The facility, itself located within the Stratton Elementary facility, will act as a fully functional care clinic open not only to the students and staff of Stratton, but to members of the community and general public as well.
Members of the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce were on-hand for the proceedings, along with Access Health CEO, Charles Hunt, City of Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold, Beckley City Councilwoman Janine Bullock, Jay Quesenberry with the Raleigh County Commission, Raleigh County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Serena Starcher, and many more.
Remarks were heard from representatives from the offices of both United States Senator, Joe Manchin, and United States Congresswoman, Carol Miller. Each of the state leaders offered their congratulations and well wishes to those behind the establishment of the Stratton Clinic as well as the community as a whole and those present for the proceedings.
Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold addressed those in attendance as well, expressing enthusiasm for the opportunities which stand to be brought to the city through the addition of the new medical facility.
“What a thrill it is as Mayor of the City of Beckley to be a part of this project,” said Rappold. “Access Health has become such a leader, in a relatively short period of time, in Healthcare in the City of Beckley.
This is a huge example of their outreach to the community. I commend the Board of Education for their foresight in creating this clinic here, which is not only available to students and faculty of Stratton Elementary, but also to the entire community. As mayor, I could not be more proud or more happy to be here today to commemorate this wonderful occasion.”
Access Health CEO, Charles Hunt, also addressed those who had gathered for the significant event, making note of the sense of community behind the establishment of the facility and the hope for the organization to continue to grow within the Raleigh County area.
“It really is all about community for us at Access Health. It’s all about the family and the community, and serving the community within our organization,” said Hunt. “This is the first time that we’ve opened up the school-based center to the community and we’re looking forward to the fruits of that. Access Health has put together what I believe is an excellent team that will do a great job for you at the school and in this community.”
Equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and staffed by a team of highly qualified healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering personalized care to each and every patient, the state-of-the-art facility boasts all the amenities one would expect to find at any medical facility, and more.
The clinic is located at Stratton Elementary – found at 1129 South Fayette St. Beckley, WV. Additional information can be found at the Access Health website. Additional LOOTPRESS coverage for the Raleigh County area can be found here.
