(LOOTPRESS) – Amazon CEO Andy Jassy says customers may see some price increases as a result of the ongoing global trade war. In an interview with CNBC, Jassy explained that many third-party sellers on Amazon’s platform are expected to pass rising costs on to consumers.
This comes after President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on his latest round of tariffs for all countries except China. Despite the challenges, Jassy emphasized that Amazon is working hard to keep prices low. He noted that the company has made strategic forward inventory purchases to help manage costs.
So far, Jassy added, Amazon hasn’t observed any significant shifts in customer purchasing behavior.
