(LOOTPRESS) – As the holiday rush approaches, Amazon is gearing up to welcome 250,000 new employees across the United States. The company announced that it will be hiring full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers to join its fulfillment and transportation network throughout the busy season.
According to Amazon, regular full- and part-time employees earn an average of $23 per hour with benefits, while seasonal hires make an average of more than $19 per hour. New positions will be posted weekly from October through December on hiring.amazon.com.
Seasonal jobs at Amazon are known to fill up quickly, often within minutes of being listed. The roles attract a wide range of applicants—from those seeking extra income during the holidays to individuals looking to start long-term careers with the company. Many seasonal workers have gone on to become managers, trainers, and leaders within Amazon’s operations network.
“These roles offer great pay, flexible schedules, and the chance to be part of a team that makes a real difference during the holidays,” the company said. “For those who stay on in regular full-time roles, there are additional benefits such as health care and education programs, including Career Choice, which pre-pays tuition for college degrees or certificates.”
Amazon also noted that employees who have stayed with the company for three years have seen their pay increase by an average of 18%.
This year, the retail giant is investing more than $1 billion into additional pay and benefits for its fulfillment and transportation employees—raising the average total compensation to over $30 per hour when factoring in the value of benefits.
