ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The annual Ansted Hometown Heritage Festival is set to bring a weekend full of fun, food, and family entertainment to downtown Ansted from Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15.
The festival kicks off Friday evening at 5 p.m. with a live chainsaw carving demonstration by the Mason Dixon Boys, followed by live musical performances from Glen Shelton at 6 p.m. and Acoustic Fusion at 8 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a performance by the Mason Dixon Boys, along with a Tractor Show and the Kid’s Adventure Zone, which will remain open until 7 p.m.
Activities throughout the day include face painting, dance performances by the Lincoln County Cloggers, and live music by Payton Alexis, Thomas Danley, and 2-Broke Band.
Other highlights include the BarBQ Riot’s Food Contest at 4 p.m., the Mill Creek Rubber Ducky Race at 4:30 p.m., and a 5 p.m. parade led by the WVU Mountaineer mascot. The evening will wrap up with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
On Sunday, events begin with a church service at 11 a.m., followed by performances from the Mason Dixon Boys, Alan Kinsler, and Jerry Skaggs. A raffle for the Mason Dixon carvings will be held at 4:30 p.m.
The festival promises a weekend packed with entertainment, including live music, food contests, raffles, a parade, kids’ activities, vendors, and more.
