RAINELLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On November 6, 2024, a disturbance involving an armed individual unfolded at the Walgreens on Kanawha Avenue in Rainelle, prompting swift police intervention.
Greenbrier County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) received reports of a man wielding a knife and acting erratically, allegedly under the influence of controlled substances. Trooper T.M. Havens responded to the scene, spotting the man brandishing a large knife with a red handle and appearing aggressive as he approached the trooper’s vehicle.
When ordered to halt, the suspect attempted to flee, initiating a foot chase that led through chest-deep water and ultimately to an abandoned property on First Street. Inside, the trooper tracked him through wet footprints that led to a crawl space beneath the residence. After a brief standoff, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Ryan Isenhart, complied with commands to surrender. Upon checking Isenhart’s record, police found two prior convictions for obstruction, both through the West Virginia State Police Summersville Detachment.
Isenhart now faces multiple charges, including obstruction (third offense), fleeing an officer on foot, disorderly conduct, and brandishing a deadly weapon. He remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
