MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A domestic disturbance in Mullens led to an arrest Sunday evening after police say a man spat in a victim’s face during an argument.
According to the Mullens Police Department, officers were dispatched around 8:02 p.m. on March 29, 2026, following a 911 call reporting a domestic incident.
When officers arrived, they first made contact with the suspect, identified as Thomas Salvage, who was detained during the investigation.
The victim told police that Salvage came out of a room yelling at her in the living area. When she told him to leave, he allegedly spat in her face.
A witness at the scene corroborated the account, stating he observed Salvage yelling before spitting at the victim. Authorities also noted that a Southern Highlands worker witnessed the altercation over the phone and was the one who contacted 911.
Additionally, police were shown audio recordings from earlier in the day that reportedly captured Salvage yelling and causing a disturbance inside the residence.
Based on the investigation, Thomas Salvage was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
