Bluefield 2, Princeton 1
Bluefield – Kerry Collins and Ryker Brown combined to limit county for Princeton to one run, striking out 17 Tigers as Bluefield picked up a 2-1 victory Friday in Bluefield.
After Grant Cochran drove in a run in the third, Bluefield went scoreless until the fifth with Ryker Brown driving in one of the Beavers’ two runs
Brown led the Beavers with two hits, striking out seven in 2.2 innings of work. Collins allowed the only run of the game but struck out 10.
Bluefield improves to 2-0 and will host Nicholas County on Saturday. Princeton will host Greater Beckley on Monday.
