BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley is buzzing about the 7th Annual Honey Festival, which took place over the weekend at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine.
Local residents and out-of-towners alike came out for the annual event which featured live music, educational presentations, arts and crafts, hive demonstrations, kids activities through the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia.
The Long Point String provided live entertainment for the community event, while various vendors including Raleigh County Schools, Oakvale Farms, WV Coal Jewelry, and many others set up to stage with guests in attendance.
Raleigh County Schools spoke of their experience participating in the Honey Festival, stating, “We had such a great time meeting families and providing books, activities and antenna to children of all ages! Thank you to those who visited with us. Look for us this year out and about with our community and families.”
