BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley’s Public Works Department has announced its annual Spring Cleanup, set to begin on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Residents in all wards must place their items within five feet of the curb by 7:00 a.m. on March 31.
The city will not make return visits to streets that have already been serviced.
However, certain items will not be collected, including:
- Tires, hazardous waste, and petroleum products (such as oil and gasoline)
- Yard waste (tree limbs, logs, and brush)
- Demolition materials, batteries, and liquids (such as paint thinners, pesticides, and insecticides)
- Large household appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and stoves)
For those needing to dispose of large household appliances, the city’s Recycling Department will pick them up on Fridays for a $25 fee per item.
