BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The Galleria and Harper Road Chick-fil-A’s (CFA) are fully opened for the first time since March of 2020.
The two locations reopened their dining room seating at full capacity on Thursday, July 1, 2021- 14 months after the restaurants were forced to closer their doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Owner and Operator of the three Beckley CFA locations- the two brick-and-mortar restaurants in addition to the one located inside the Crossroads Mall- Richard Jarrell, the Galleria and Harper Road CFA’s have been operating on curbside and drive-thru only since last year to comply with the governor’s guidelines.
“The governor had a 50 percent mandate on dining rooms with social distancing,” Jarrell said. “With the type of crowds we have, it was impossible to navigate social distancing with those standards.”
Because of this, the restaurant chose to keep its dining room closed until it could open completely.
Although it’s only been one day, Jarrell described seeing people back inside as “refreshing.”
“It’s just so good to be able to see people back in a normal setting. It’s refreshing to see our longtime guests come back with smiles on their faces. They’re not wearing a mask; I’m not wearing a mask. We can smile at each other and enjoy each other’s company again.”
The Galleria and Harper Road CFA’s are open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The mall location, which is also open to full capacity seating, is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
