BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Natural Wonder: The Music of Stevie Wonder and More will perform Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m., at the Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium.
The concert is one of two remaining in the Beckley Concert Association’s 2024-2025 season. The show is free to BCA members or $35 for an individual ticket, available at the door or at www.beckleyconcerts.com.
Natural Wonder features bandleader Gabriel Bello, whose vocals, keyboard and harmonica pay tribute to Stevie Wonder’s legendary R&B, soul, funk, and pop music spanning five decades.
Bello, who is also a talented saxophonist and producer, studied music at Lee University in Tennessee. But after a cancer diagnosis followed by months of treatment and what he calls a “miraculous healing,” Bello found himself on a new path. He became a full-time music minister after playing a concert with worship artist Ron Kenoly. Extensive work with churches throughout the southeast allowed him to hone his instrumental, vocal and engineering abilities.
Bello’s self-titled debut album held a no. 1 spot on the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts for 11 weeks in 2011, and he continues working as an in-demand choir and worship leader, gospel performer and touring tribute artist.
Children and students 18 and under will be admitted free to this show when accompanied by a paying adult. College students with IDs are also admitted free of charge.
The final performance of the BCA 2024-2025 season is scheduled for April 10 at 7:30 p.m., when the Dimitri Nassar Quartet takes the WWHS Auditorium stage. Find more information at www.beckleyconcerts.com and Beckley Concert Association on Facebook.
