BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The grand opening for the newest Beckley Goodwill location originally scheduled for Thursday has reportedly been postponed due to a lack of power at the store.
Initially set to take place on Thursday morning at 9:00am, the ribbon-cutting has been pushed back 24 hours, as there is currently no power at the new Robert C Byrd location for the Beckley Goodwill.
“The store currently has no power, but will be opening later today,” read a statement from Goodwill. “The ribbon cutting celebration will be postponed to Friday, June 7, 2024, at 9:00am.”
The anticipated opening will see the expansion of the former Appalachian Drive Goodwill location at which inside space and outside parking were notable issues for many customers.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will follow that of the Lester Square location in Sophia which was held in 2022.
