BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after allegedly getting mad at a woman he didn’t know but let stay with him for several days because she didn’t have any meth for him.
According to authorities, police were dispatched to Main Street for a disturbance. When they arrived, a female victim was upstairs saying her arm was broken and bleeding. The suspect, Roger Reed, said he didn’t know the female but let her stay the night. Reed said when the suspect went to leave, she took some of his clothing, and he confronted her about it. An argument started, but Reed said it didn’t turn physical.
The female suspect told police a different story, she claimed that she was staying with Reed, and he got angry because she did not have any meth for him and kicked her out. She stated they had a verbal altercation, and he followed her down the stairs, which turned physical. The victim said Reed pushed her into the wall multiple times and hit her in the face.
Reed was charged with domestic battery. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 500 dollar bond.
