BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after allegedly beating a woman and repeatedly stabbed her.
According to Beckley Police, a domestic call was received on Jeremiah Dalton Hatcher, who had kicked in the door to a woman’s residence to gain entry and had struck her multiple times as well as stabbed her. When police arrived on the scene, they found Hatcher standing on the front lawn of his apartment and a fixed blade knife in the ground that had the inscription, “I want to do bad things to you.” Police found the victim bleeding profusely from her forehead and the back of her head.
According to the victim, Hatcher was drunk, had gotten mad at her, and began to attack her. As police were transporting the suspect, he made several unsolicited statements. The victim was transported to the hospital with multiple lacerations to her body.
Hatcher is charged with malicious wounding and 2nd offense of domestic battery. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 35,000 dollar bond.
