BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after allegedly beating a woman and repeatedly stabbed her.
According to Beckley Police, a domestic call was received on Jeremiah Dalton Hatcher, who had kicked in the door to a woman’s residence to gain entry and had struck her multiple times as well as stabbed her. Â When police arrived on the scene, they found Hatcher standing on the front lawn of his apartment and a fixed blade knife in the ground that had the inscription, “I want to do bad things to you.” Â Police found the victim bleeding profusely from her forehead and the back of her head.
According to the victim, Hatcher was drunk, Â had gotten mad at her, and began to attack her. Â As police were transporting the suspect, he made several unsolicited statements. Â The victim was transported to the hospital with multiple lacerations to her body.
Hatcher is charged with malicious wounding and 2nd offense of domestic battery. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 35,000 dollar bond.
