BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man faces charges after child porn was discovered on his devices.
According to State Police, two cyber tips were received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding possible child pornography. The suspect, Dakota Lee Anderson, 24, of Beckley, used the username “justa scrub” on MeWe and Dropbox. While serving a search warrant at the home, the suspect’s father told police that the phone number in question was his son, Dakota Anderson.
During the investigation, troopers found 103 photos of child porn. They also discovered chats about finding groups where he could trade child porn material.
When his family confronted Anderson about the information, he admitted that “justa scrub” was his username, and he did have the Dropbox and MeWe accounts. Anderson recently got a new phone number and a new phone after learning about the investigation.
Anderson is charged with 10 counts of child erotica and child pornography. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
