BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man was arrested following a shooting incident at an apartment complex.
Police arrested 22-year-old Thomas Bange in connection with a shooting that occurred on December 30, 2024, at the Ewart Avenue apartment complex.
Officers responded to a 911 call about shots fired at approximately 11:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered that a fight had taken place near the playground at the top end of the complex.
Video footage revealed that a man, later identified as Bange, fired a handgun twice at the scene and three additional times while fleeing the area.
Investigators interviewed a witness who confirmed Bange’s identity and verified his actions during the incident.
It was also reported that Bange discharged the weapon again as he and others left the complex in a vehicle occupied by two adults and an infant.
Police collected .380-caliber shell casings from both locations, corroborating the use of the firearm.
Bange was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment with a firearm and child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
He is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
