SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man has been charged with murder out of Summers County.
According to WV State Police, on Friday, January 20, 2023, officers responded to Streeter Creek, located between Ellison Rodge Road and Streeter Road in Summers County, about a man with a gunshot wound. During the investigation, it was learned that Kaine Durham and Brian Bolon were at the Dawg-Gone Pet Salon in Beckley for a possible staged Robbery.
During the robbery, Melanie Hussian and Stephen James Stephens, showed up and were allegedly attacked by Durham and Bolon. During the robbery, Stephens was stabbed and had his hands bound. It was learned that Stephens and Durham had a previous altercation regarding drug money debt owed.
Durham then drove the victim, Stephen Stephens, who was still alive, to Streeter Creek in Summers County, where he stabbed and shot him to death while his hands were bound.
Durham has been charged with first-degree murder. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under no bond.
It’s unknown how Brian Bolon died.
