BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is facing sexual assault charges.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, on February 25, 2021, at around 10:15 am, an undersigned officer met with the defendant, Derick Dunbar, regarding allegations of sexual assault. During a recorded interview, Dunbar did admit to kissing a 13-year-old female on the lips. He also admitted to penetrating her on a total of four separate occasions.
All sexual actions occurred in Sweenysburg at the victim’s home. The incidents occurred between February 14, 2020, and March 31, 2020. Dunbar admitted that he knew the victim was 13-years-old.
Dunbar is charged with four counts of third-degree sexual assault. He is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
