BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
James Tilford Bradley, 50, of Beckley, pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Bradley sold a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $100 on Feb. 13, 2024, in a business parking lot in Beckley.
As part of his guilty plea, Bradley admitted to conducting that transaction and to additional sales of methamphetamine to a confidential informant on Feb. 14, Feb. 28 and July 22, 2024.
Bradley is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 7, 2026. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $1 million.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the plea and commended the investigative work of the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit, which includes officers from the West Virginia State Police, the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and the Beckley Police Department.
Omar J. Aboulhosn presided over the hearing. Assistant United States Attorney Brian D. Parsons is prosecuting the case.
