BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Omelet Shoppe in Beckley says it will remain open after the restaurant’s owners had previously considered selling the longtime establishment.
In a social media post Tuesday, the Beckley Omelet Shoppe announced the decision with a photo of its roadside sign carrying the message, “THEY HAVE SPOKEN, WE ARE STAYING OPEN.”
“The people of Beckley have spoken!” the restaurant wrote in the post.
The announcement comes after the owners earlier this year considered selling the restaurant, raising questions about the future of the Beckley business.
Tuesday’s announcement indicates those plans have changed, with the Omelet Shoppe instead planning to continue operations.
The news quickly drew a positive response from customers on social media, with several commenters expressing excitement that the restaurant would remain open.
The Omelet Shoppe is located along Harper Road in Beckley and has long served the area with breakfast and other diner-style meals.
