BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Police Department recognized the achievements of seven officers during a promotion ceremony held in Council Chambers on Monday.
Friends, family, fellow officers, and elected officials attended the event to celebrate the promotions.
Mayor Ryan Neal administered the oath to each officer, while Chief Bailey congratulated them on their accomplishments.
The following officers received promotions:
- Lieutenant William Ray and Lieutenant Jason McDaniel were promoted to Captain.
- Sergeant Johnny Wall, Sergeant Adam Jones, and Sergeant David Bailey were promoted to Lieutenant.
- Corporal Joseph Hunter and Corporal Timothy Capehart were promoted to Sergeant.
Chief Bailey commended the officers for their dedication and service to the department and the community.
