BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley is set to get a major boost in family entertainment with the announcement of Skate Central, a state-of-the-art indoor entertainment facility planned to open in August 2026.
The center will feature a combination of roller skating, a multi-level laser tag arena, and a full-service onsite restaurant, creating a hub for fun for all ages.
The facility will also host kids’ birthday parties, private events, and school outings.
“We saw a need for a modern, multi-attraction family center in the Beckley area especially after the MacArthur Skating Rink was demolished, and we are incredibly excited to bring the vision of Skate Central to life,” Jonathan Schmier, Operations Manager of T.J. Entertainment told LOOTPRESS.
“This is a significant investment in our community, and we look forward to becoming the premier spot for weekend outings, school events, and unforgettable birthday parties.”
While Skate Central will be located in Beckley, the exact site has not yet been selected. Officials say multiple potential locations are currently being considered.
The facility is on track for its grand opening in August 2026.
