OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Black Bear Bakery announced it is closing its storefront at 1108 E. Main St. in Oak Hill but will continue operating through custom orders and appearances at local events.
In a statement shared with customers, the bakery said, “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to close the Black Bear Bakery storefront.”
Although the retail location is closing, the business said it will continue accepting custom orders for birthdays, weddings, holidays, special occasions and family dinners. Customers will also still be able to find Black Bear Bakery at select local events throughout the year.
The bakery thanked those who have supported the business over the years.
“We want to sincerely thank every customer, friend, and supporter who walked through our doors, placed an order, shared a kind word, or believed in our little bakery,” the statement said. “Your support has meant more to us than you’ll ever know.”
Owners said the closure is not the end of the business.
“This isn’t goodbye forever.. it’s simply the closing of one chapter as we look ahead to new opportunities,” the bakery said.
Customers are encouraged to follow Black Bear Bakery’s social media page for updates on custom ordering, event schedules and future locations.
The business also said it hopes another local business will occupy the building. Anyone interested in the commercial space is encouraged to contact the property owners for more information.
