MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A body found in McDowell County has been identified.
On April 1, 2023, at around 9 am, a 911 call of a deceased person was made. The dead body was located in a vehicle in the Beartown area of McDowell County.
The deceased was identified as Barbara Baker, a white female from Jolo, WV. The vehicle that she was found in belonged to the victim.
Sheriff Muncy says this is being treated as a suspicious death and is asking the public for any help that they may have.
The deceased was sent to the WV Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston, and the autopsy results are pending.
