BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A boyfriend is charged after allegedly throwing his girlfriend to the ground because someone complimented her earrings.
Beckley Police say they responded to a domestic incident at Texas Steakhouse on N. Eisenhower Drive. A witness tells police that they heard someone scream outside and observed the victim being thrown to the ground.
The victim told police that her boyfriend, Jimmie Johnson, started arguing with her because someone complimented her earrings. Mr. Johnson allegedly started becoming angrier and asked the victim to come outside. Once outside, the victim says, Johnson hit her in the chest and threw her to the ground. After Johnson threw his girlfriend to the ground, he fled the scene.
Johnson is charged with domestic battery. He is currently out on bond.
