Institute – Greater Beckley Christian held off West Logan Christian 61-59 Friday afternoon at the 2023 FCA Hoops Classic played at Wests Virginia State University.
Kellen Heffernan poured in 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three steals to lead the Crusaders.
Freshman Keegan Davidson added 13 points, along with seven rebounds and four assists and Isaiah Kincaid grabbed nine rebounds.
Averyk Woodson narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds for GBC.
Jacob Walls led all scorers with 26 points for West Logan, while James Scites added 16 points and Jordan Adams scored 15.
