Hinton – Summers County outscored Mercer Christian Academy 37-19 in the second half to win its season opener 59-43 Monday.
Brandan Isaac exploded for 32 points including 20 in the second half to lead the Bobcats.
Ayden Plumley added 12 points with 10 coming in the final two quarters.
Chance Watkins led the Cavaliers with 14 points and M.J. Patton scored 13 points and had six assists. Kyler Carpenter grabbed eight rebounds.
