Nicholas County 57, Midland Trail 50
Hico – After a tough start to the season in the win column, Nicholas County is in the midst of a four-game winning streak.
Friday night the Grizzlies knocked off Midland Trail 57-50 for the season sweep.
Colby Pishner led Nicholas with 27 points, while Jaxson Morriston scored nine points and Wesley Hill added eight.
Matt Light led all scorers with 29 for the Patriots who fell to 5-6 on the year. John Paul Morrison scored eight and Zack Baird had seven.
Nicholas County (5-9) hosts Independence Wednesday. Midland Trail plays Herbert Hoover Tuesday in the Par mar Shootout at W. Va. State.

Wyoming East 62, Bluefield 59
White Sulphur Springs – Four different Warriors scored in double figures as No. 8 Wyoming East upset No. 2 Bluefield 62-59 in overtime Friday night in the Battle for the Springhouse at The Greenbrier.
The Warriors, trailing by 11 points at the half, rallied to force overtime by limiting the Beavers to just four points in the fourth quarter.
Tanner Whitten led the way for east with 25 points while Garrett Mitchell added 10 points and 13 rebounds. Cole Lambert and Chandler Johnson added 10 points each for the Warriors.
Caleb Fuller led Bluefield with 25 points while R.J. Hairston added 16. Chance Johnson finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and hauling in 10 rebounds.
Wyoming East advances to the championship game where it will meet Cabell Midland on Saturday at a 5 p.m. tipoff. Bluefield will play Martinsburg earlier in the day at 1 p.m.

Charmco – Balanced scoring was the key for Class A No. 7 Webster County in a 59-40 win over sectional rival, No. 10 Greenbrier West.
Conner Bell led the Highlanders with 15 points and Rayden Triplett added 13. Rye Gadd scored 11 and Riley Clevenger chipped in eight.
Brayden McClung had 13 for the Cavaliers and Chase McClung scored 12.
Webster County will play Class A No. 4 Tug Valley Monday in the Par Mar Shootout at W.Va. State, while West will battle Class AA No. 5 Williamstown Wednesday in the Par Mar event.
At halftime the Cavaliers honored the the 1991-92 boys basketball team that won the Class AA state championship that season.
