Welch – Tony Bailey scored 19 points Tuesday as Mount View handed Mercer Christian a 55-43 loss in Welch.
Mercer Christian’s Tanner Keathley led all scorers with 22 points, canning five three pointers while Sam Boothe scored 14 and hauled in 10 rebounds.
Mercer Christian drops to 4-1 and will travel to Greater Beckley on Saturday. Mount View moves to 1-0 and will play in Chapmanville’s tipoff tournament on Friday.
