Morgantown – Leading 35-33, Class AAAA No. 1 Morgantown scored 14 straight points to pull away from Beckley and earn a 55-41 win.
All-state guard Sharron Young led the Mohigans with 21 points and Izzy Everett scored 12.
Coby Dillon paced the Flying Eagles with 14 points, while Zyon Hawthorne and Preston Clary scored eight points each.
Beckley played without all-state guard Elijah Redfern who was sidelined with a hand injury suffered Friday night.

Morgantown – Shady Spring erupted for 29 first quarter points and went on to defeat Class AAAA University 70-60 Saturday afternoon.
Ammar Maxwell and Jack Williams each scored 20 points to pace the Tigers (2-1). Khi Olson added 16 points and Jalon Bailey scored 10 points.
John Coleman scored 16 points for the Hawks.

Princeton – Mercer Christian rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to force overtime, but fell to PikeView 65-64 in a thriller at the Princeton Holiday Tournament.
Austin Bennett led the Panthers with 17 points and Jared Vestal scored 12. David Thomas and Bryson Bailey each scored eight for PikeView.
M.J. Patton led all scorers with 24 points and five steals for the Cavaliers and Chance Watkins scored 13 points. Kyler Carpenter had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Isaac Sharp scored nine.
