Tug Valley 35, Tucker County 32
Charleston – Looking for its first Class A boys basketball title, Tucker County dropped a heartbreaker to Tug Valley 35-32 Saturday night inside the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Trailing by two points heading to the final quarter, the Panthers held the Mountain Lions to four points over the final eight minutes for the win.
Kaden Hale led Tug with 13 points, while Buddy Marcum tallied nine points and had eight rebounds..
Ashton Lycliter scored 12 points for Tucker County and was named Most valuable Player of the Tournament.
Joining Lycliter on the all-tournament team was teammate Ethan Rosonau and Trevor Bonner. Representing Tug Valley along with Marcum, was Brayden Ferris and Ashton Davis.
Rounding out team was Jordan Teets from East Hardy and Rayden Triplett from Webster County.
